If you're developing an application where you would like users to be able to talk to each other using voice over IP (VoIP), sending instant messages (IM) and sharing files the TeamTalk 3 SDK might be the type of software you're looking for. The TeamTalk 3 SDK includes a VoIP component which is quick to integrate into your existing applications.

The TeamTalk 3 SDK includes a VoIP client which has the following features:

• Supports 8, 16 and 32 KHz audio for both low- and high-bandwidth users.


• Low latency by using audio broadcasting and no buffering.


• Thoughput between approx. 600 to 6000 bytes/sec. depending on voice quality.


• Arrange users in rooms/channels with topics and passwords.


• Share files among users in the same channel.


• Private and public instant messaging.


• Push-to-talk and voice activation to enable voice transmission.


• Individual volume for each user.


• Position users using 3D sound.


• Access each user's playback stream and record conversations.


• Encrypted version of the SDK also available (based on SSL and BlowFish).

The TeamTalk 3 SDK encapsulates the TeamTalk VoIP client in a C-API DLL, a COM control and an ActiveX control (OCX-file), thereby allowing developers to choose the type of component they see most fit for their development environment. A TeamTalk server for Windows is included in the SDK and a Linux server is also available.
