A Data Input Control/Component
The ExMaskEdit ActiveX control handles the format of text entered by the user. The ExMaskEdit control provides a nice and useful feature, that we called multimask ( you haven't seen it before ) , that means that the control is able to handle more than a mask at runtime, or multiple patterns is supported.

The list of patterns are displayed in the drop down portion of the control. Another important feature for ExMaskEdit is support for regular expressions ( stay tuned ). The ExMaskEdit control subclasses a standard edit control or a rich control edit. When the control subclasses a rich edit control, the characters that do not match the pattern are painted using a custom color. Are you looking for a syntax coloring edit control?
