A File Upload/Download Component for ActiveX, Java
Image Uploader™ delivers a user-friendly interface for uploading multiple files. Now to upload, say, 10 files, you don't need to click the Browse button 10 times, selecting each file via standard HTML elements. With Image Uploader™, you navigate folders directly in browser, select necessary files, and start uploading them in only a few clicks. Image Uploader™ is exceptionally good for images.

However Image Uploader™ has much more benefits against standard HTML upload elements. It allows to optimize upload size and speed, upload several files concurrently, resume the broken upload automatically, generate additional information allowing to verify the uploaded files integrity, and much more.
Some features are supported only by ActiveX or only by Java version. Such features are marked as follows:
(A) - a feature is supported with ActiveX only.
(J) - a feature is supported with Java only.

Versatile User Interface
Image Uploader™ contains numerous features which make the upload convenient and friendly even for inexperienced users.
- Easy navigation through the folders on the user's computer.
- High level of accessability. All operations can be carried out using the keyboard.
- Thumbnails for image files of the following formats are displayed:

- Standard icons are displayed for non-images.
- Files can be browsed in several view modes:

- Automatically track changes in the file system. Image Uploader™ automatically refreshes when:

--------Removable device (such as USB drive, digital camera, etc) is plugged to the computer. (A)
- Several layouts of Image Uploader™ panes - select one that fits you more.
- Drag-and-drop operation support. In particular, it is possible to select files for the upload by dragging them from the Windows Explorer.
- Both single and multiple selection is supported.
- Image rotating with a single click.
- Built-in description editor for each file.
- Quality meter that indicates which print formats the photo can be printed with.

Customization Features
Configurable Behavior
Image Uploader™ is designed to be flexible enough for any kinds of applications. Depending on your needs you can enable or disable some specific features. For example, you can configure whether to:
- Allow users to select a view mode.
- Display specific buttons.
- Enable users to rotate images or edit descriptions.
- Redirect the user to another page after the upload.
- Show quality meter.
- Display specific error messages.
- Delete files after upload. (A)
- Display the progress dialog.
- ...and many more.
Furthermore, you can configure restrictions for files the user uploads:
- Maximum total file size.
- Maximum number of files.
- Maximum or minimum size of a single file.
- Maximum or minimum image dimensions.
- File mask for allowed and denied file names.
Upload Features
Main purpose of Image Uploader™ is to transmit files from the client machine to the server. The following upload-related features are available in Image Uploader™:
- Upload of any kind of files without any limitations for their type or size (unless you configure file restrictions).
- Upload up to three (in unlimited - (A)) of resized copies of an image (with or without the original file). Note
- This feature allows to increase the upload speed drastically when you need to get small image instead of large photo.
- Ability to send additional information along with files in an attached HTML form.
- Automatic upload resuming if the upload has been broken in the middle of the process. Number of attempts and interval between them is configurable.
- Progress dialog is displayed for the upload process.
- Full control of the upload process through the JavaScript.
- Ability to send files in several concurrent upload threads. (A)
- Ability to upload files to several servers or pages in the same upload session (e.g. if balancing servers are used). (A)
- Estimation of the remaining upload time. (A)
- Ability to upload hash value for each file which allows to check the file integrity on the server. (A)
- Automatic redirection to specified page upon the upload completion.
- Ability to upload files in separate requests.
- Memory-friendly regardless to the number of files or their size.
