BinaryToolTip .NET Ver. 2.0 is an advanced Microsoft .NET WinForms© component, providing a feature-rich and highly configurable "ToolTip" component for the Microsoft WinForms© .NET platform. BinaryToolTip .NET is an extended replacement for the standard .NET ToolTip object, providing a wealth of impressive features, including the ever popular Windows XP styled "Balloon ToolTip" style, making it easier for you to develop high quality and outstanding GUI applications in less time.

In addition to the standard .NET framework’s ToolTip functionality, BinaryToolTip .NET offers the following rich features:

• Implements IExtenderProvider interface: BinaryToolTip .NET implements the standard IExtenderProvider .NET interface and adds extended tooltip properties to other Controls on the Form.


• Balloon tooltips: The component supports a style property to display tooltips with the ever popular Windows XP style Balloon tooltip style.


• Image Support: By setting a simple property, you can display an image along with the tooltip title text


• Ability to fully support painting with custom colors and font: Using the component's simple properties, you can set the color and font of your choice for displaying the tooltip text, title, its forecolor, backcolor and border color.


• DropShadow effects: The component can paint the tooltip with or without drop shadows. Using its simple properties, you can easily configure the DropShadows for the tooltip. Also, you can configure the tooltip's dropshadow offset, to give an extended floating effect for the tooltip.


• ToolTip title: By setting a simple property, you can assign a title text to the tooltip, apart from the usual tooltip text


• Full control over Balloon window painting: By setting a simple property, you can dynamically change the curve factor for painting the edges of the tooltip window, when the style is set to Balloon tooltip style.


• This feature lets you decide at runtime, the depth of curve you want the tooltip to use, while painting the edges/corners of the Balloon styled tooltip.


• Multiple Tooltip styles: The component provides for two different styles of tooltip, viz., an extended version of the standard tooltip and an XP styled Balloon tooltip.


• Automatic tooltip location management: The component automatically decides the best location for painting the ToolTip window, based on the screen co-ordinates of the underlying BinaryToolTip enabled controls on your Form.


• NEW! Automatic Multiline Tooltips: The component now carries the capability to automatically display tooltip text in multiple lines, based on a user-specified custom tooltip window width!


• You do not have to insert newline characters in the text anymore.


• Furthermore, this facililty is optional, so if you want, you can switch this feature off, by setting the appropriate property!


• NEW! Point Tooltips: A new object BinaryPointTip has been introduced from Version 2.0. This object enables displaying tooltips on any screen location of your choice.
