Main Application Window is a central element of Desktop Application and has major influence on user's perception of the overall quality of software product. Traditional structure of Main Application Window is menu bar with toolbar on top and status bar on the bottom of the window. Middle area of Main Application Window is usually left empty and filled with solid color or some background image.

Cherry Desktop component fills empty space of Main Application Window with powerful User Interface mimicking Desktop Environment. The component provides variety of visual effects such as icon magnification, ripple effect and icon flutter animation. Cherry Desktop component is a container for icons which are associated with different actions. These actions represent functionality of application similar to menu items. The icons can be placed on taskbar or desktop surface. The component can be used as a replacement or in conjunction with application menu bar, status bar and other standard GUI elements.
