CrossCompass report designer:
As a the person designing the report you can extract data from various sources and send them to our report designer. Here you can design the report layout and preview the report until you are happy with it. Then you can decide which groups of users can execute the report.
As an end-user you are shown the list of reports that are available to you as a member of a group. You simply double click the report name to execute it. It's that simple!

CrossCompass allows you to determine the type of user of the system and the user interface changes accordingly.
For query users CrossCompass interprets end-user input and generates an SQL query against the selected table(s). This means you can allow end-users to execute ad hoc queries to extract the data and then send this data to a report designer. Within the designer they layout their report and then decide which group of users can execute the report or if the report is to be only used by the person who designed it.
For report users (you decide the type of user) CrossCompass restricts them to report execution. You design the reports, they use them.
For an extra layer of flexiblity, CrossCompass also provides a built-in programmable interface that makes implementing bespoke reporting functionality easy. Add bespoke complex reports to the end-user adhoc querying capabilities using example templates to add richness to your user's reporting requirements.
