A GPS Component for ActiveX
This ActiveX ® component will allow simple access to Garmin GPS units using the Garmin® protocol. Waypoints Routes and Tracklogs can be stored and retrieved and access to other GPS information is available e.g. current position, Date\Time, satellite information and Proximity Waypoints etc.

The library is an ActiveX Dynamic Link Library designed to provide a simple object based interface to the Garmin® range of GPS units for use with languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic®. The GPS Library will automatically detect the correct protocols to use for the connected GPS unit including older GPS units that do not support the 'Protocol Capabilities Protocol'. All protocols documented in the Garmin GPS Interface Specification (September 16, 2004 Drawing Number: 001-00063-00 Rev. B) are supported with the exception of Waypoint Categories. The library has built in support for the Waymex GPS Web Service which is available as a free download. Positional information, Tracklog data, Waypoints and Route information can be transferred over the internet very simply using the library.
