An NT Service Control/Component by PDF Tools AG

The 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter Service is a Windows Service that automatically converts image files placed in watched folders into PDF documents. Different versions of PDF, including PDF/A, can be selected for the output file.

With the 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter Service you can:
- Install a Windows Service Process for converting image files to PDF
- Start and stop the service through the Windows services control window
- Control the service through a command line interface
- Configure any number of converter threads
- Configure a watched folder per thread
- Configure individual conversion options per watched folder

The following options can be configured:
- Convert image files to PDF/A compliant files
- Create single- or multi-page PDF documents
- Automatically apply image compression based on the image type
- Define page width and height
- Center images
- Scale the image to fit with the page size
- Define a border size for the page
- Set the resolution in DPI
- Automatically adjust page size to image size
- Encrypt the PDF document (owner password, user password and permissions)

Watched folders can also be setup for converting images of one format into images of another format, for example TIFF to JPEG or CCITT4 to JBIG2. Several conversion options are available, including:
- Spilt image files, e.g. convert multi-page TIFFs into several single-page TIFF files
- Merge files, e.g. convert several single-page TIFF files into one multi-page TIFF file
- Change the compression factor of TIFF files
- Change the compression quality of JPEG files

The 3-Heights™ Image to PDF Converter is also available as an application SDK to integrate in VB, .NET, Delphi, C, Java, etc. applications, and as a shell tool executable from the command line.
