The 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter Service automatically converts PDF files in watched folders into raster image files. Each watched folder can be configured with unique conversion options.

With the 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter Service you can:
- Install a Windows NT Service Process for converting PDF files to images
- Start and stop the service through the Windows services control window
- Control the service through a command line interface
- Configure any number of converter threads
- Configure a watched folder per thread
- Configure individual conversion options per watched folder

The following options can be configured:
- Select the output image file type: TIFF, JPEG, JPEG2000, JBIG2, PNG, GIF, PBM, BMP, EPS
- Select individual pages for conversion
- Set the page mode (fit page, true size, center)
- Set the page dimensions in points or pixels
- Set the resolution in DPI's
- Set the image format (bitonal, grayscale, color)
- Set the dithering mode for bitonal images (Foyd Steinberg)
- Set various rendering options such as image filters
- Additional options, depending on the image format selected, include:
- Create single or multi-page images
- Convert PDF to CCITT Fax image files
- Set the image quality
- Set the compression (JPEG, ZIP, LZW, Group3, Group4)

The 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter is also available as an application SDK to integrate in VB, .NET, Delphi, C, Java, etc. applications, and as a shell tool executable from the command line.
