A Calendar Control/Component by Intelliblocks

The control seamlessly integrates with your development environment, the ASP.NET framework and other controls. You can use the familiar Visual Studio .NET, C# Builder or WebMatrix designers to set the control's properties and use the standard ASP.NET validators to ensure data integrity. IntelliDate can be easily combined with other standard or third party controls (DataList, grids, etc.) to produce powerful applications. Compared to other date controls, such as the System.Web.UI.WebControls.Calendar, IntelliDate need much less web page space, don’t require any server round trips to select a date and it’s easier to use.

Built entirely in managed C# code, with complete documentation and sample code and fully integrated with Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET, this control will save you the development effort needed to manually code the user interface and underlying logic for entering and validating dates.

You can get your data entry page up and running in less than five minutes by dropping the control on the page, setting it’s properties and getting the date using control’s Value property. If you need, you can customize all aspects of the control by extending it and creating new user controls that better suit your special needs.

Functionality
Null values and data binding* - The control supports entering of null date values and data binding for data sets that contain null values.
Standard validators* - Standard ASP.NET validators (such as RequiredFieldValidator and RangeValidator) can be used to validate dates on client and on server.
Client and server-side validation - IntelliDate validates date values entered by user on server and can use JavaScript to do validation on client.
Flexible year bounds - Year component of the control can be adjusted to fit your application needs by specifying absolute or relative year bounds.
AutoPostBack - The control can automatically post back information to server when the user makes changes to the control. This feature can be used in conjunction with control event to respond to date changes on the client.
ReadOnly mode* - The control can be used to display dates as text.
* This feature is not available in IntelliDate Lite.

Customization
Date format - The format used to enter or display date values can be modified using standard or custom format strings.
Language support - IntelliDate supports all languages for month names, AM/PM designator and separators. The culture determines the format when standard format strings are used.
Appearance - The appearance of the control can be customized to fit your application by using style properties.
Extensibility - Control is not sealed and can be extended by derivate controls.

Compatibility
Browser support - All major web browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla) are supported.
Designer support - The control can be used ASP.NET designers from Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002 and 2003), Microsoft Web Matrix and Borland C# Builder.
.NET framework - Supports both .NET Framework 1.0 and .NET Framework 1.1.
Other controls - IntelliDate can be seamlessly integrated with other controls (data lists, grids, etc.).

Development
Design-time support - IntelliDate has full design time support for rapid visual development of applications and has full support for IntelliSense.
Documentation - Complete reference and user guide in HtmlHelp2 format, fully integrated with framework documentation. The control also supports DynamicHelp for quick contextual information in Visual Studio .NET.
Deployment - IntelliDate comes as a signed assembly that can be deployed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) or in the application's private Bin directory.
