The PDF Library Developer Kit (SDK) provides a low-level interface to create PDF objects, modify PDF objects, and delete PDF objects. It furthermore exposes all the high-level functions in a C++ language interface that you get with the PDF Prep Tool Suite.

The PDF Library Developer Kit (SDK) is a valuable tool for companies that are developing advanced PDF products that they will sell commercially (OEM solutions). In most other cases, we recommend using one of our higher-level PDF development tools.
With PDF Library Developer Kit (SDK) you work directly at the PDF Object level. :
- Directly create PDF objects and delete PDF objects
- Modify PDF objects and their attributes
- Copy PDF objects from input to output while preserving the relationship between the objects
- Compress and decompress content streams
- Perform all PDF Prep Tool functions with the possibility to hook own function into the processing steps
- Read encrypted PDF files
- Encrypt PDF files using passwords and permission flags
- Optimize PDF files for the web (linearize)
The PDF Library Developer Kit (SDK) does not require any third-party software for creating or modifying PDF files.
