An ASP.NET server for the development and deployment of web-based GIS mapping applications. An extensive object API exposes approximately 2,300 functions and properties and optional embedded Flash control provides for smooth on-line map dragging, zooming, and editing server-side data. The TatukGIS Internet Server supports any ASP.NET compatible development tools including Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Express, or just plain text editor.
The Internet Server is appropriate for the development of enterprise-level GIS server solutions using SQL spatial server database layer formats such as Oracle Spatial/Locator & Oracle GeoRaster, Microsoft Spatial Server, ESRI ArcSDE & ArcSDE Raster, PostGIS, Geomedia SQL Server, TatukGIS binary, TatukGIS PixelStore, etc., as well as GIS/CAD industry standard vector, grid, and raster image formats.
The TatukGIS Editor or the free TatukGIS Viewer desktop applications can be useful companion products to the Internet Server. The Editor or Viewer can be used to organize the map layers and set up the visual layer properties such as colors, line widths, polygons fills, label appearances, transparences, symbols, spatial indexing, the legend, etc. and save all as a TatukGIS project file (or even as an ASP.NET project) for interactive web publishing with the Internet Server.
